NCI (National Coastwatch Instituition) is a registered charity founded in 1994 to restore a visual watch along the UK coastline after most Coastguard stations were closed down through government cuts.

National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) is an organisation staffing 56 lookouts around the coast of the U.K. to act as the local eyes and ears of HM Coastguard. There are currently over 2500 trained and uniformed volunteers doing this and the nearest lookout is in Newhaven.
