Peacehaven Town Council

Peacehaven Town Council is the first rung of Local Government and is responsible for much of the day to day running of the Town of Peacehaven. PTC is responsible for leisure and amenities around the Town and manages Peacehaven’s Parks and Gardens.
PTC has its offices at Community House, in the Meridian Centre, which also acts as a hub for local residents.
In the past year PTC has installed an inclusive Play area at The Dell, which includes a disabled swing a specially designed trampoline and a story telling area. PTC has responsibility for Centenary Park, Howard Park, Epinay Park, Firle Road Play Area and The Oval. Work has been on going over the last year to maintain and improve these areas.
PTC has set up a Youth Group and is working with Younger Residents to give them interesting events and facilities to keep them busy through the year.
PTC has held a number of events this year involving the local Community. This has included a Teddy Bear’s Picnic for younger residents, a Family Festival planned for July 2017, Football Tournaments and Skating Events and Competitions.
PTC makes recommendations on Local Planning applications to Lewes District Council. It manages grass cutting and horticultural contracts on behalf of residents. It manages litter and waste in and around the Town and owns and runs the allotments in Peacehaven.
